Hunza is located in the valley of Bodolyabér, surrounded by forests at the foot of the Mecsek hills. Through these forests, connected to our garden, a 45 minutes’ walk will bring you to the 4 lakes of Orfü. These 4 lakes and their surrounding forests inhabit a fish sanctuary, otters, native turtles and many bird species such as several woodpeckers, golden oriole, kingfisher, white stork, chicken hawk, etc.
The biggest lake offers recreational activities. Horseback riding, fishing, swimming, canoe, tennis and an aqua park are a few of the facilities being found here. The few sympathetic restaurants will still your hunger. By car it’s only a 10 minutes’ drive from the lodge.
Connected to the 500 km² Mecsek hills, direction North-West, the Zselic slopes continue with another 1200 km² of natural area. These gentle slopes are perfect for cycling and lower level mountain biking. Hunza offers hikers and bikers walking maps and detailed information about the best tours in Mecsek and Zselic.
The Danube and Dráva rivers are respectively the Eastern and Southern borders of the Baranya. A true haven for birdwatching, kayak, canoe and cycling.
